David Is Getting Ready To Propose!
Let’s fast forward about 8 years….. David was ready to propose to Liz. David knew he wanted to be traditional when asking permission for her hand in marriage. He and Liz’s best friend Cynthia (also the Matron of Honor) came up with a sneaky plan to surprise Liz on Valentine’s Day. David had everything in place. He arranged for a Mariachi to serenade Liz and her Mother, he decorated Liz’s porch with multiple bouquets of roses, and brought his Father with him. It was an absolutely beautiful and memorable moment. After the Mariachi had finished playing all of David’s dedications, his Father approached Liz’s mother. He told her that his son wanted to marry her daughter and that he was there to ask for her hand. David made a special trip to Phoenix to ask Liz’s older brother for her hand as well.
Let the Ring Shopping Begin!
The moment Liz saw the design she wanted for her ring, she instantly fell in love with it. In David’s words, “ You know the look on the woman’s face on that Zales commercial when she sees the ring of her dreams????….. Yup, that was the look on Liz’s face”. This is when David’s ring adventure began. He decided to have the ring made for her, so he took his micrometer, spy camera and his jewelers loupe and off he went in search of the person who would create the ring for his Liz. The end result….. The most amazing proposal, a moment that will forever live in the hearts of David and Liz.
Each others forever always…

The Proposal
If you all know Liz, and most of you know her very well, you know that she loves castles, mysteries and is intrigued by magic tricks, especially sleight of hand card tricks… (and let’s not forget Halloween!) What better way to propose to Liz than to incorporate some mystery into it! David having gone on several of Liz’s crazy adventures with her for the past 8 years, knew exactly how he was going to propose. David carefully planned out every single detail for that evening. He made sure that everything went as planned. But most importantly, he wanted to make sure that Liz did not find out about the proposal! It had to be a surprise!
David had it all planned out, it was going to start with a lovely dinner at Yamashiro and it would continue with a surprise visit to The Magic Castle. Everything was going as planned- a beautiful evening, a delicious dinner, Liz had no clue, David was high fiving himself for being able to keep this a secret from Liz and suddenly……. a waiter almost ruined the surprise!! YES! The surprise was almost ruined! What saved the evening you ask? Liz’s horrible hearing! You see, as the waiter came by to check on David and Liz, he said, “ Ok folks , I know you have a show to catch so I’ll get you on your way”. David thought to himself,” NOOOO!!! all of that planning and it was ruined!” David cringed in anticipation of Liz’s reaction. His heart began to beat fast, and he could feel the beads of sweat forming on his forehead. But he was slowly put to ease as Liz stayed quiet, looked at him with confusion…. and then asked, “ what did he say about a cat??”
Needless to say, the date continued just as David had planned it. Liz had no clue regarding the events that would take place that evening. He then surprised her with a visit to the Magic Castle. Liz was beyond amazed!! The biggest surprise was when Liz found herself to be part of a magicians show. She was shocked and excited that she was selected to be on stage!
Little did she know that David had contacted the magician in order to somehow incorporate the proposal into his act. To make a long story short (yes, this is quite long…hmm wonder who may have written this? :)) David proposed to Liz on March 14, 2018 at the Magic Castle with the help of Kiko Pastur, a talented magician with a kind heart. An amazing proposal.
The Wedding
There is no doubt that God has brought David and Liz together. It was meant to be. They have been blessed with beautiful family and friends. They thank you from the bottom of their heart for being part of their special day, but more importantly, for being part of their lives.
